Safety-Focused Brakes

With climbing big hills come big descents. The woom 4 comes with independently operated front and rear V-brakes to ensure that whether your Rider is bombing down that big hill they conquered or making their first forays off the pavement, they can always control the bike safely. The two V-Brakes are easy to operate thanks to their ergonomically adapted brake levers with reach adjustability.

woom Crank

The crank length and distance between the pedals are ergonomically adapted to fit children's bodies. This results in an optimum stance and very natural movements. And thanks to the chain guard those days of getting your pant leg caught are over!

Lightweight Aluminum Frame

Geometrically designed for kids six and up and forged of sturdy superlight aluminum, the frame is the heart of the bike. The low standover makes getting on and off the bike easy. The light weight means your Rider can go further, faster, and higher than ever before.

Easy-to-Use Gearing

As your child moves up from a single-speed to a geared bike, they will shift into a new level of biking. The woom 4’s eight-speed gearing in combination with the easy-to-operate twist shifter allows any Rider to conquer the biggest hill in their neighborhood. A narrow-wide chainring ensures minimal chain slippage, provides more control, and will have your Rider confidently cruising down the block.

Tailor-Made Wheels

The woom SOOPA DOOPA HOOPS are specially designed for the child-specific geometry on the woom 4 and feature our smooth, frictionless hubs and double-walled rims. The rims come with a 20 stainless steel spoke design to offer a perfect balance of strength and lightweight.

Ergonomic Contact Points

Comfort is very important to the riding experience, and that's why the contact points on our bike are made specifically for kids. Our saddle is designed to accommodate the anatomy and the biomechanics of growing Riders. Our grips are ergonomically designed for kids' hands. The pedals are durable, reflective, and slip-resistant.

Quick-Release Seatpost Clamp

The quick-release seatpost clamp offers a simple, quick and tool-free way to adjust the saddle height. It's even easy enough to be operated by children. On your pedals, ready, go!

High-Quality Tires

The high-quality Schwalbe Little Joe tires provide plenty of traction and durability. The 20” diameter, 1.4″ width tires allow your Rider to traverse both pavement and dirt with plenty of control. The reflective sidewalls of the tires give them further visibility on darker rides.

Adjustable Vario Stem

Kids grow fast and need a bike that adapts to them. The Vario stem is constructed of lightweight forged aluminum, making it quickly and easily adjustable. Our Vario stem allows your Rider to optimize their riding position as they become taller. By extending the reach of the handlebars, the life of the bike is also extended.

Awesome!

We've had the Woom two, three and now four. I must admit, I had drafted a review on this bike in advance of my daughter fully using it, expressing my concerns about the shifter noted in other reviews. I will say though I am nothing but incredibly impressed by this bike. My daughter loves every aspect of it, including rifling through the gears with ease (her favorite gear is 5) and clinging the bell with a big smile on her face. What a machine! Nice job, Woom!

Woom should upgrade those who have the problematic shifter

Two, three and now four. Great bike, but the shifter....Woom should upgrade those who have the problematic shifter. Even just send the upgraded shifter for those that wish to install.

Woom original 4

Unfortunately, this is the second bike we have bought from Woom where the front break rubs again the tire constantly. The front tire is not straight, I tried to file a complaint online but when trying to submit it after downloading all the photos and video, the submit tab would not work. Extremely frustrated with this whole experience. I will not purchase another bike from WOOM.

Great bike, but why putting gears on it if you use twist shifter that are too difficult for a kid to twist

This bike is great overall... but the micro shift M29-7 twist shifters are horrible. I have a hard time twisting them with a stronger adult hand. who thought that was a good idea? Its not an adjustment or lubrication issue the shifters are just junk.

Received defective product. Also the gear shifting feedback is real.

I received a defective front wheel which I will be following up with separately. Want to second the feedback on gear shifting. My 7 year old son cannot shift to gears 1-3 unassisted, I find this unacceptable for a kids bike. I'll look into returning it.

Great for learning to ride / no issues with shifting

This bike was perfect for my son when he learned to ride. Before this bike he only really wanted to scooter and when he did want to learn to ride we picked the Woom 4. He was 6.5 years old and it took him about 30 minutes to get riding. Some friends didn't have the same experience and I think it was easier for our son becuase the bike is so light and easy to ride. He is now 8 years old and still using the same bike which is really nice. I think he probably still has at least another summer that he can get out of it. There have been no issues with the shifter on our end.

A great first real bike

We chose this Woom bike after being introduced to Woom by neighbor kids who were loving theirs. Our daughter was comfortable on her strider bike, & she was ready to move up to pedals. Her new Woom bike is exactly the right step up! It’s solid & well-designed. The brakes & shifting work smoothly, & she has joyfully learned to use them.

She LOVES her bike!

This is our second WOOM bike and I love that it’s lightweight to carry when she’s tired and doesn’t wanna ride anymore. There’s nothing to complain about except for the micro shifter (she just turned 5 when we got the bike). She could not get the hang of it and I called Woom and spoke to their customer service department and they were awesome. We got switched out to an easier shifter and it seems to be working out a lot better.

New micro shifter is terrible

Our family has the woom 2, 3, and we just purchased the 4. My 6-year-old rode his cousins woom 4 and was absolutely flying and loving the gears. But I didn't realize was they don't sell the old gearing system anymore and the replacement micro shifters are absolutely terrible. They don't budge for him going into lower gears. As an adult I'm able to twist them myself but they leave my hands hurting. Woom should not be selling this shifting system. It's actually hurting their brand at this point. The whole reason we purchased a Woom 4 (for $600!) is to just know that we are getting the best possible bike for our 6-year-old. That is no longer a safe assumption. Woom needs to address this immediately and head on and stop selling this version. Otherwise their brand will suffer. if I can't get this working for my 6 year old, then I will be returning the bike and looking at other options.

Require an upgrade after purchase

As a happy ower of woom 3 bike. I was really looking forward to get the next model. It looked very promising with shifting gears... Once we received the bike we found that it's ABSOLUTELY impossible to change gears for 5 years old kid. I found an another type of shifter that is kids friendly and you change gears with you thumb and installed it. So the bike is great again. It's just I didn't expect that I'll have to improve it by myself

Don't buy it

We loved our Woom 2, but the shifter on the woom 4 is too hard to my son or any child to change when riding. Its really frustrating that he has to stop before each hill, get off the bike, and change the gear. We took to a bike shop and they said there is nothing they can do and it is functioning as designed. This bike cost way too much money for them not to address this fundamental issue. This major flaw in the bike is causing my son to to not like bike riding with me as much anymore, don't buy the bike.

Woom family for years to come!

We have been a woom family for years and love them! My youngest took off on their innovative design before she was 3. She is 5 now and loves having gears. This summer has allowed our family to explore trails and hills like before having kids, but now the kids are leading the way.

Don’t buy (it if you want to use the shifter)

We started on the woom 2 and 3 bikes and had a great experience. Buying a woom 4 was a no brainer but what a mistake. The day it came I thought it was broken. The shifter mechanism is so tight it takes a lot of effort for a grown man to move it through all the gears. My daughter stands no chance. The bike itself is good quality just like the 2 &3 but for the price and overall quality you expect it is absolutely not worth it. I reached out to woom the day it was delivered and they advised me to go get the shifter replaced and they would cover the cost up to a certain amount … maybe $100?Not impressed with the response or how they treat it like it’s my issue to get fixed, on my time, right out of the box.
