In our expert opinion, it pays dividends to a child’s future to start them riding early. We’ve seen it firsthand hundreds of times. Kids learning to ride on a woom bike at 2 or 3 years old. Actually pedaling, with no training wheels, beaming with pride. And this blast of confidence doesn’t just stay on the bike. It carries over to the rest of their life.

But it wasn’t always this way. For decades, children’s bikes were treated as an afterthought. Heavy frames, nearly half the weight of the rider. Cheap, clunky components not suited for children. Awkward training wheels, impractical brakes, and a lack of safety features.

• Lightweight Components: Weight is critical to ensuring a fun cycling experience – doubly so when the rider is learning. Our bikes are  40% lighter than conventional children's bikes. This translates to easier maneuvering, turning, and balancing, and of course, more confidence.
• Intuitive Features: What happens when you eliminate all the friction points of traditional kids’ bikes? Kids can hardly wait for their next ride! From color-coded brakes to kid-friendly gearing, kids can always feel the woom difference.
• Safety-Focused Design: When kids feel safe and comfortable on their bike, it makes a huge difference. Steering limiters help avoid overturning, tension- and reach-adjustable brake levers ensure safe stopping, grips with bar-end protection prevent hand scuffs, pinch-free magnetic helmet clasps make things easy, and a long wheelbase provides stability.
