No way to know what gear it’s on

Unlike our previous woom, this one does not have a way for my kid to know what gear he is on! My son absolutely hates this and if I would have realized beforehand I probably would not have purchased.

Everything but Pedals

We LOVE this bike, with the exception of the pedals. The smooth plastic was not grippy enough and my daughter's feet kept slipping. Pretty easy fix with a relatively inexpensive pedal upgrade. But given the price of the bike, it should come with decent pedals that have some grip.

10/10!!!

Not only is the bike itself amazing, but the customer service WOOM offers is exceptional. We have been part of the WOOM family with both our kids and both have a passion for riding. The EXPLORE was a fantastic suggestion for our son!

Have not received the bike yet

It’s been a month and the bike has not been delivered yet. I reached out to wood and have not received a response. My child is very disappointed. If I don’t hear from the company or receive the bike soon I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card. The bike was showing as in stock when I purchased it.

Solid ride with great parts

I'm very pleased with my decision to go with this model over the regular 5 or the OFF 5. I'm not a huge fan of rim brakes at this point if they can be avoided and my daughter wasn't really interested in a mountain bike, not to mention the lack of color choices for that model. From the outset this bike has some standard parts found on full size bikes of modest price from trek or specialized with the rear derailleur and disc brakes. Sure, they're not top of the line but they're completely serviceable both in their use and ability to be repaired or replaced should the need arise. The shifting works well and the hydraulic disk brakes have good modulation and stopping power when needed. You can use the stock pedals or you can buy aftermarket for more grip or for light up pedals as they use standard threads. Likewise, the front fork has standard spacing for either a replacement skewer or for mounting on roof based transport methods that involve taking off the front wheel and using a quick release. I can mount it in my Seasucker just as I could any full sized bike.Good parts and serviceability aside, the main reason I bought this over the other models was the ability to change the fit as my daughter grows. I plan on keeping this bike for a long time and with the adjustability of the front end will help it will stick with her longer than other models that are limited to just seat height changes. The 5 is just a little bit big for her currently at her 51" height as she's slightly on her tippy-toes when on the saddle but I have little doubt she'll grow into it quickly. Seems like a nice, stable ride that will do well not only on neighborhood roads and paved bike paths but, with the equipped tires, could handle a bit of dirt as well. I look forward to seeing what my girl can do with this as she grows and the bike grows with her.
