The woom ORIGINAL 1 introduces children to the fun world of cycling. This balance bike is designed to enable small children to easily hop on and roll away. Even if a child has only just started to walk, it helps them to confidently gain a sense of balance on two wheels – and have fun doing so.

Steering limiter

There's a small rubber ring and webbing strap that link the fork to the downtube to safely limit the amount that the rider can steer. This helps the child to ride in a straighter, more consistent line and prevents potential falls caused by oversteering.

Innovative frame

The superlight aluminum frame is the heart of the balance bike and ensures easy riding fun. Its geometry has been specifically designed for toddlers, with a low entry making it easy for even the youngest of riders to hop on and roll away. Thanks to the long seatpost and open seat tube, the saddle height can be adjusted over a broad range to accommodate your growing child.

Child-specific hand brake

Learning to operate a rear brake as early as possible makes it easier for your child to use brakes on a pedal bike later on and can prevent them from having accidents. Our specially designed brake lever is easy to pull with small hands and requires little strength to bring the bike to a safe halt. This, along with the ergonomic grips, makes braking child's play.

Please note: All bikes delivered in the UK will have the UK standard with the green rear brake lever on the left.

Knee-friendly stem

Our stem ensures a safe and lightweight connection between the handlebars and the headset. Thanks to its sleek, rounded design and recessed clamp bolt, the stem is a trusty "knee saver".

Ergonomically formed saddle

The saddle is one of the most important points of contact between the child and the bike. It significantly affects the feeling when riding. That's why our saddle is designed to be a perfect fit for the pelvis of children in this age group and optimized for an upright riding position. Its scooped design is engineered to provide continuous optimal support for your child. Our specially developed steering limiter is a vital safety feature. It prevents the handlebars from overturning, which reduces the risk of accidents.

Tires have a major influence on how a bike handles. That's why we've chosen high-quality, lightweight and grippy tires with low rolling resistance for the woom ORIGINAL 1. This ensures smooth running and good grip whatever the terrain – whether paved, gravel or dirt roads. The reflective stripe on the tires' sidewall also ensures optimum visibility even in low-light conditions.

Smartly engineered wheels

Well-built wheels are essential for a good ride, which is why these are engineered with smooth-rolling hubs, high-quality stainless steel spokes and our exclusive rims aka the SOOPA DOOPA HOOPS. The extra narrow hub on the rear wheel ensures masses of leg clearance for your child while they're riding.

SURFBOARD-ready

The SURFBOARD Footrest is designed for kids to rest their feet and feel like they're surfing on clouds. The SURFBOARD Footrest is available as an accessory for the woom ORIGINAL 1.

Our standard 2-year warranty applies to the frame and components automatically from the day you purchase your woom bike. Members of our woom Riders Club can extend the warranty on aluminum frames, rigid forks, handlebars, stems and cranks to 10 years for free by registering their bike within 9 weeks of buying it.
