A child's bike helmet needs to fit properly and feel comfortable. And that means it needs to be carefully designed to match the exact shape of kids' heads as they grow. We studied thousands of scans of children's heads when we were designing our READY Kids' Helmet. That's how we ended up with a helmet that fits and protects perfectly at every stage of a child's development. Without slipping, wobbling, pinching or digging in. But with plenty of smart details to keep your child safe and make it easy for them to put their own helmet on and take it off again.
You need to measure the circumference of your child's head to figure out which helmet size to buy. Holding a tape measure against your child's forehead, about 1 cm above their eyebrows and ears, measure all the way around their head. Check the positioning of the tape measure at the back of their head to ensure you're measuring the widest part.
Check your measurement against our sizes. If the circumference of your child's head is 48 cm, you'll need to go for XS (46–50 cm) and so on.
If the helmet is too tight when your child puts it on, start by turning the size-adjustment dial to loosen off the adjustment system on the inside. Make sure the helmet is sitting level and covering your child's head properly. The front edge of the helmet should sit around 1 cm above your child's eyebrows. Turn the size-adjustment dial to tighten the ring on the inside until you're happy that the helmet is sitting nice and snugly. It shouldn't wobble when your child gently shakes their head. Finish off by fastening the chin strap clasp. Speaking of which... When first putting on the helmet, ensure the chin strap sits comfortably against the throat, checking that it's not too loose.

I received a red helmet in size S as a test. Thank you Woom. It's so great that my 6-year-old granddaughter and my 5-year-old grandson are fighting to put it on. Grandpa will have to buy a second one . (Very comfortable/easy to adjust/easy to attach... system that avoids the risk of pinching )
I love this helmet. I do not think there is a better helmet. I have two kids and they do a lot of activities that require a helmet (bike, scooter, roller blades) and they use it for everything. It is easy to click on (I love the magnetic fastner) and the colors are fun. If only they made an adult helmet....(hint hint)
Got size S for our 3yo daughter. It's a hit. She loves it and wears it inside the house. The materials feel good, the visor and magnetic buckle are a nice touch.

I bought you 2 helmets for girls aged 9 and 7 for Christmas. They loved it. Indeed the quality of the helmets has nothing to do with their previous helmet from the Decathlon brand. The first helmet that was delivered had a few scratches and a dent because the side stand for the WOOM 4 was placed directly in the box with the helmet, it was replaced, the second helmet is fine.

Best Helemt, Air Holes on Top Keep Their Heads from Getting Too Warm The mechnisim to secure the helmet is easy for kids to use (on/off) but still secure. It fits like a glove and protecs their entire head.
My son really wanted to have that exact helmet and I have to admit I'm more than pleasantly surprised. The helmet simply fits perfectly and looks great. The reflective details are great, the rechargeable light is practical and the magnetic closure is super easy to use. The little brother will probably also get a Woom helmet in the long term.
Now it is time to give a review for this extremely well-thought-out helmet! Our son had a pretty bad fall with his balance bike and the helmet broke as a result. I don't even want to imagine what would have happened to his head if that helmet hadn't caught the biggest thing. It has completely fulfilled its function and prevented worse. We have been enthusiastic from day one, simply because the helmet fits really well and can be put on and taken off by children alone. No other helmet is an option for us anymore. Once a woom, always a woom! We ordered a new one right away.
