FAQ
The woom EXPLORE is a sporty all-rounder, designed for children. It's made to ride on pavement and easy off-road terrain, such as gravel roads and dirt paths in the forest. It is not suitable for rugged MTB trails or bike park riding. Please refer to the instructions for use for more information.
You can kit out the woom EXPLORE with the following equipment:
- VIENNA BELL and BING Bell
- SNAP Click-on Fenders (pick the relevant size for your bike)
- GLUG Stainless Steel Bottle (for use with or without fenders)
If you need to replace any parts due to wear and tear, you'll find a wide selection of original parts in our spare parts shop, including grips, tires, and more.
When ordering accessories or spare parts, make sure you pick the correct size.
On the bottom and top of the downtube there are two pairs of threaded holes so that you can install the side-clip mount for the GLUG Stainless Steel Bottle on your preferred side. To install the SNAP Click-On Fenders there are mounts on the underside of the fork crown and on the seat stays/seat tube area, as well as on the axle nuts. In addition, there are a total of four threaded holes on the seat stays, designed for mounting the PICKUP Rack: two near the seat tube and two near the rear wheel axle.
The left pedals on our bikes (almost all bikes, for that matter) have reverse threading and therefore have to be screwed in counter-clockwise.
A bicycle's brakes are vital to safety. We recommend that those inexperienced with bike repairs take their bikes to a bike mechanic to have potential issues with the brakes fixed.
If you have some experience with bike mechanics and often fix things on your own bike, you'll be able to resolve minor issues with the brakes.
In this video, we explain how to replace the brake pads, adjust the brake calipers, and set up the brake levers correctly for your child.
Gears are extremely complex. If you don't have much experience with bike repairs and maintenance, we recommend you ask a specialist to sort out any gear problems.
If you're somewhat handy with bike mechanics, check out page 34 of the woom EXPLORE owner's manual, which explains how to readjust the derailleur if the gears on your bike are being noisy or if your bike is struggling to change gears.
