This helmet in an XS fits our barely 3 year old awesome. It has lots of room for him to grow into but can also be sinched down to a point of being too tight on his head, so I appreciate that it can fit snugly on our little guy when tightened to an appropriate point. It covers his head well and the bill on the front should give his face good protection if he has a wipe out going forwards off his Stryder bike. My one complaint with this sized helmet meant for very young riders is the magnetic buckle. It’s great in concept but makes it too easy for our son to take off his own helmet. We have a rule that only mom and dad get to take the helmet off him but he likes to try to do it on his own and can do it successfully with this design. I’d like a helmet geared towards this age to be a bit more childproof in that aspect.

Kids' heads need proper protection – and our helmet is the perfect fit.
A child's bike helmet needs to fit properly and feel comfortable. And that means it needs to be carefully designed to match the exact shape of kids' heads as they grow. We studied thousands of scans of children's heads when we were designing our READY Kids' Helmet. That's how we ended up with a helmet that fits and protects perfectly at every stage of a child's development - without slipping, wobbling, pinching, or digging in. Plus, we added plenty of ingenious details to keep your child safe and make it easy for them to put their own helmet on and take it off again.
How do I know which helmet size my child needs?
You need to measure the circumference of your child's head to figure out which helmet size to buy. Holding a tape measure against your child's forehead, slightly above their eyebrows and ears, measure all the way around their head, making sure you're measuring the widest part.
Compare your measurement with our sizes. If you fall on the cusp of two sizes, it's better to size up.
How do I make sure the helmet is sitting correctly?
If the helmet is too tight when your child puts it on, start by turning the size adjustment dial (located on the rear of the helmet) counterclockwise to loosen the adjustment system on the inside. Make sure the helmet is sitting level and covering your child's head properly. The front edge of the helmet should sit slightly above your child's eyebrows. Turn the size adjustment dial clockwise to tighten the ring on the inside until the helmet is sitting nice and snugly. It shouldn't wobble when your child gently shakes their head. Finish off by fastening the chin strap clasp. Before your child wears the helmet for the first time, adjust the length of the chin strap so that the helmet sits snugly but still feels comfortable.

Very good fit, easy to use
This is a great helmet! Easy to put on child without pinching his neck! He doesn't mind wearing it because it is light and comfortable.
My son has a large occipital bone and every other helmet slid off he back of his head and exposed his forehead. This helmet fits perfect and doesn’t slip. He also can put it on and take it off himself. Super pleased!

Wonderfully visible. Nice that the lettering and straps are reflective. Children can tighten the helmet at the back of their heads themselves. We still have some more stickers on it and love the helmet!

Really nice bike helmet. We got it for free as a product tester (purple size. M) and am really happy about it. The quality is really good and it fits well. We're definitely going to buy one for my little sister when she gets her next helmet.
We bought this Woom helmet just 6 days ago because my daughter really wanted the Woom S in purple and it proved just how valuable it is. My daughter had a really serious accident during a bike ride, which even ended in an ambulance and hospital. She fell face first into rough gravel and rolled off several more times in the process. The whole extent was bad: She was bloody everywhere, is covered with hematomas, has a broken wrist and there was debris even around Woom 3. But the most important thing is: Thanks to this really excellent helmet, the head and face remained almost completely unharmed. She only had an abrasion on her chin. Even the doctors have specifically said how well the helmet protected. Apart from an injury to the chin, nothing happened on the face, not even the nose had a scratch. With such a serious fall, it's simply unbelievable for us. The helmet itself is now rubbish and has done exactly what it needs to do: protect when it matters. As soon as the cast is off, my daughter really wants to have that exact helmet again. And honestly: After this experience, there is nothing else for us anymore.
