FAQs
Where is the woom OFF AIR designed to be ridden?
The woom OFF AIR is a children's mountain bike specially developed for cross-country mountain biking and off-road cycling. Its design allows you to enjoy being in nature and away from the traffic. Please refer to the instruction manual for more information on its usage.
What accessories, additional components or spare parts are available for the woom OFF AIR?
You can kit out the woom OFF AIR (all sizes) with the following equipment:
- LEGGIE Kickstand (woom OFF AIR 4: size M, woom OFF AIR 5 and woom OFF AIR 6: size L)
You'll find all of these items, as well as other compatible gear, in our online shop.
Whether it's general maintenance or upgrades, you'll find a wide selection of original parts in our spare parts shop. This includes touch-up paint to cover up scratches as well as a quick-release seatpost clamp in case you want to upgrade the stock security seatpost clamp on your woom OFFAIR Riders of the woom OFF AIR 5 and woom OFF AIR 6 can also upgrade to a woom OFF 11–40t 9-speed cassette, which has more modest differences between the sprockets (meaning a smoother progression) and is therefore even better suited for off-road adventures.
When ordering accessories, gear or spare parts, make sure you pick the correct size.
How do I replace the brake pads or adjust the disk brakes properly?
Staying safe while mountain biking requires good, reliable brakes. For those who don't have much experience of bike repairs and maintenance, we recommend asking a specialist to sort out any potential issues with your brakes.
If you have some experience of bike mechanics, you'll be able to resolve minor issues with the brakes yourself. In this video, we explain how to replace the brake pads, adjust the brake caliper and set up the brake levers correctly for your child.
I need to set up the suspension in the front fork to suit my child. What do I need to know?
The woom OFF AIR comes with a preset air pressure. In this video we explain how to adjust the air pressure to get the best performance for your child based on their weight, what you can do to tune the compression and rebound, and what the lockout function is all about.
I'm having problems with my gears. What can I do?
Gears are extremely complex. For those who do not have much experience of bike repairs and maintenance, we recommend asking a specialist to sort out any shifting issues.
If you have some experience of bike mechanics, you can have a go at resolving the issues you are having with the gears yourself. In this video, our mechanic Tim takes you through how the gears work and shows you how to readjust the derailleur and cable tension if the gears on your bike are being noisy or if your bike is struggling to change gear.
