"enjoy the ride“ live: woom Experience Days full of inspiration, movement, and true bike love

4/7/2026

Vienna/Unken, 7 April, 2026: At the end of March, the POST Family Resort nestled at the foot of Salzburg's mountains, transformed into a vibrant world of adventure for bike fans of all ages. As part of the woom Experience Days, the international children's and youth bike brand woom presented its current product portfolio from the woom WOW balance bike for the littlest learners to sporty bikes for older children and teens. The highlights: the versatile woom GO series for children aged 18 months to 7 years in the newly-released “powder pink” colour, in addition to all-round and mountain bikes from the woom EXPLORE and woom OFF range. Particular attention was also given to the woom EXPLORE e, woom's first all-round e-bike for children from the age of seven.

To kick off the cycling season, woom teamed up with the POST Family Resort in Unken to host three days full of inspiration, activity, and genuine bike love. Around 60 guests from media, PR, content creation, and business experienced the diverse event programme together with their families. Among them were LinkedIn Top Voice Yaël Meier, presenter and entrepreneur Sandra Thier, and Stephan Schenk, CEO of Stapelstein.

The woom experts provided exciting insights into the product development and brand strategy of the love brand, with Design Lead Chris Small explaining woom's innovation process in context of the woom WOW. Colour expert Jen Holloway also presented the background to the new colour, "powder pink”. Vice President of Brand Nicole Lunzer and Head of Brand Victoria André then presented the latest brand campaign and the newly-founded woom Kids' Advisory Board for the first time.

woom founders Marcus Ihlenfeld and Christian Bezdeka were also in attendance to provide special goosebump moments with a personal keynote. The duo spoke about the company's early years, leading up to international success, and discussed the vision, courage, and passion that have shaped woom from the very beginning.

Another highlight was the appearance of extreme cyclist Christoph Strasser, multiple winner of the Race Across America, one of the most demanding long-distance cycling races in the world. With moving stories about mental strength and overcoming limits, Strasser captivated the audience and emphasised the importance of movement and courage from an early age.

"We care about shared experiences. "Seeing children get on our bikes and immediately feel how easy it is, that's when the spark really flies. "It's precisely this enthusiasm that drives us. “The close exchange with families always brings us back to what really matters – it’s simply all about the children,” says woom CEO Bernd Hake.

The motto "enjoy the ride" came to life on the varied bike course where kids had the opportunity to test the entire woom portfolio directly. From first wobbles on the woom WOW to powerful pedal-pushing with the woom GO, there was even the chance for first off-road adventures with the woom EXPLORE and woom OFF. The new all-round e-bike woom EXPLORE e was also extensively tested.

Away from the bike course, a strong supporting programme ensured the right balance. During the Mindful Body Sessions with Verena Stefenelli, participants both young and old were able to recharge their batteries. There was also a creative and enjoyable experience at Kids Cooking in the Naturwerkstatt. Together with Hotel Director and Head Chef Florian Unseld (@fritz_phantom) and food blogger Marcel Drabits (@Marchello_chello), children playfully explored the culinary delights the region has to offer.

As a company, we consistently put kids at the heart of everything we do. This is exactly how we designed the woom Experience Days: with brand experiences that put young riders at the centre while truly engaging with families. The feedback from parents, the press, and influencers has shown how effective this concept is. “That's exactly what enjoy the ride stands for," says Nicole Lunzer, VP of Brand at woom.

Even the spontaneous onset of winter, complete with snow, couldn't dampen the enthusiasm – quite the opposite. Because one thing became clear once again. When it comes to riding, there are no limits to the joy that can be had. The woom Experience Days made this impressively tangible and offered a unique stage for encounters, inspiration, and a shared passion for movement.

The event was implemented in close collaboration with the Viennese boutique communications agency fran.Cie and numerous brand partners: Stapelstein, Faber-Castell, Bongusta, Hoppstar, Jupitermond, Dr. Hauschka, RIESS, Berger Chocolate, gitti, &tradition, Liewood, Lillydoo, Naïf, poptop, and yiayia&friends.

About woom
woom is an international manufacturer of bikes for children and teenagers with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The company was founded in 2013 by two bike-loving dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, in a garage in Vienna. After searching the market in vain for suitable bikes for their own children, they decided to develop and build their own. With their light weight, timeless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes set new standards for premium children's bikes. In just a few years, woom went from a little-known brand to the market leader in Austria. Since then, woom has made a name for itself around the world. In more than 40 countries – including the USA, the Middle East, and China – you'll now find kids and teens riding woom bikes.
