Vienna, 14/05/2025: woom, the Austrian manufacturer of bikes for kids and teens, is launching its ultralight woom OFF AIR kids' mountain bike in a new limited edition color so young riders can hit the trails in epic style. The limited edition mountain bike in cirrus cloud – a cloudy white color with a woom hologram logo – has already been added to the woom range. It's available now but only while stocks last.
The woom OFF and woom OFF AIR mountain bikes are ready for off-road adventures, promising kids and teens a safe and agile ride on trails, woodland tracks and gravel paths. With carefully engineered ergonomics, a high-end spec and cool colors, woom is setting new standards when it comes to child-specific mountain bikes. And giving young riders the courage and confidence they need to venture off-road and explore the world around them.
"So many brands just shrink their adult models to a child's size. But our mountain bikes are different. They're designed specifically for children – from the saddle shape to the brake power," says woom CEO Bernd Hake.
woom mountain bikes are carefully engineered for kids and teens aged between 6 and 14. A child's size and stage of physiological development is factored into the design of the handlebars, grips and saddles. That's why each bike size (20″, 24″, 26″) has a different saddle that has been adapted to fit the pelvis of children in the corresponding age group. The handlebars are tapered at the ends too for compatibility with narrower grips that provide more control and comfort.
Flexibility and functionality – with individual options
The woom OFF (with a carbon fork) and the woom OFF AIR (with a suspension fork) are superlight and extremely flexible. Both models in all sizes can be modified with a tubeless tire system. Sizes 5 and 6 (with 24″ and 26″ wheels) can also be retrofitted with a dropper post to provide more freedom of movement on technical terrain and on trails. These bikes have plenty more features that make them the best buddies for all kinds of adventures – including the easy-to-modulate disc brakes, the child-specific brake levers, the precise and smooth gearing, the high-quality Schwalbe MTB tires, the robust chainstay protector and the sporty suspension fork on the woom OFF AIR.
Cool color vibes with cirrus cloud
The woom OFF AIR – the model with a suspension fork – is out now in the limited edition color called cirrus cloud. This limited edition bike has exactly the same spec as the rest of the woom OFF AIR range when it comes to features and performance. But it has a cool new look.
Introducing cirrus cloud – a white frame with black components (suspension fork, handlebars, stem, cranks and stays). Hologram frame stickers add a subtle shimmer to the woom logo on the downtube, sparkling like fine ice crystals in the sunlight. "Cirrus cloud brings an updated agile and light style to the trail,” says woom color expert Jen Holloway. She explains the inspiration behind it: “This fresh, contrasting look is inspired by the visual weightlessness of the high cirrus clouds – minimalist, strong, and timeless.”
Mountain biking with woom – since 2019
woom started selling mountain bikes for kids and teens six years ago. These products were launched with a bang back then and have since become a firm fixture in the woom range, proving to be a huge hit with young riders all around the world.
"If kids are going to 'Enjoy the Ride' in line with our vision, a smaller version of an adult bike just won't cut it. That's why we've designed every last detail of our new mountain bike specifically for young riders – as you can tell from the cleverly engineered geometry, child-specific ergonomics and carefully adapted brake and suspension technology. Lightweight, robust and developed precisely for small bodies, it ticks all the boxes for control, safety and fun whatever the terrain. Every ride becomes an off-road adventure to remember," says woom CEO Bernd Hake.

About woom
woom is an international manufacturer of bikes for children and teenagers with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The company was founded in 2013 by two bike-loving dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, in a garage in Vienna. After searching the market in vain for suitable bikes for their own children, they decided to develop and build their own. With their light weight, timeless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes set new standards for premium children's bikes. In just a few years, woom went from a little-known brand to the market leader in Austria. Since then, woom has made a name for itself around the world. In more than 40 countries – including the USA – you'll now find kids and teens riding woom bikes.
