woom announces record results: best fiscal half-year in the brand’s history

- Strongest six months in the brand's history with 41% rise in revenue (€90.1 million)
- More than 2 million woom bikes sold since launching in 2013
- Internationalization and innovation are leading to growth in all areas
Vienna, 02/09/2025: woom, the world's leading manufacturer of high-quality bikes for kids and teens, is continuing its strong growth. For the first half of 2025, the Austrian brand has achieved its best half-year results since it launched in 2013. Revenue rose by around 41% compared to the previous year, reaching 90.1 million euros. In total, more than two million woom bikes have now been sold – a major milestone for the brand's young history. What makes this even more notable – and cements woom's position as a leading brand – is that its ongoing growth goes against the current trend within the cycling industry, which is still largely in decline.
After starting the year strongly with record-breaking figures, woom carried momentum into the second quarter, turning the first half of 2025 into the company's most successful yet.
By the end of July, revenue had passed the 100-million-euro-mark. For comparison: this was reached three months later in 2024 and is happening in the context of an industry that's still facing challenges and struggling to find a sustainable rhythm.
woom looks ahead
"Our results in the first half of 2025 exceeded our expectations. This success is credit to our whole team and proof of the progress we've made in recent months," explains CEO Bernd Hake. “Our biggest motivation is – and always will be – seeing just what a joy it is for more than two million kids and teens who've discovered a love of bikes with woom. When it comes to our next logical steps, we're keeping true to our mission but now aiming to instill a love of cycling in kids from the very youngest age – even before they take their first steps. In October, we'll be bringing a completely new product onto the market. We can't wait to reveal more.”
Kasper Rørsted, Chairman of the Advisory Boards, adds: “woom is on the right path. We have a strong brand, a really motivated team and a clear strategy for innovation and internationalization. This puts us in good position to expand our lead in the premium children's bike sector and strengthen the trust of our partners and investors.”
woom goes for global growth
The brand isn't just growing rapidly in the DACH region, but also across international markets. Expansion in the UK, a stronger presence in the US, and big gains in Northern Europe and the Benelux regions highlight the brand's global progress.
But ultimately it's the brand's continual innovation that's supporting its growth, with recent product launches – including the woom GO children's bikes, the clever READY Kids' Helmet and the woom EXPLORE e limited-drop e-bike – being really well received. Now the brand are looking ahead to October 2025 for the launch of a brand-new category for the youngest riders. Further innovation and product launches, including a new approach to e-mobility, are already planned for 2026.

About woom
woom is an international manufacturer of bikes for children and teenagers with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The company was founded in 2013 by two bike-loving dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, in a garage in Vienna. After searching the market in vain for suitable bikes for their own children, they decided to develop and build their own. With their light weight, timeless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes set new standards for premium children's bikes. In just a few years, woom went from a little-known brand to the market leader in Austria. Since then, woom has made a name for itself around the world. In more than 40 countries – including the USA, the Middle East, Japan and China – you'll now find kids and teens riding woom bikes.
