woom 4 SRAM Certified Pre-Owned (Gently Used)
Final Sale
The same woom 4 SRAM you know and love! This Certified Pre-Owned model has been gently used, refurbished, and is ready for a new home.
Gear it up!
The woom 4 SRAM introduces children aged six years to the world of gear-shifting. The bike's eight speeds in combination with the easy-to-operate twist shifter expand the bike's range of use and increase the child's mobility. Whether they want to ride their bikes into the woods or up hills – the new-found freedom of gears make longer adventures on two wheels child's play.
This Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) model is ready for a new home. All CPO woom bikes are Certified Roadworthy by our bike technicians and then rated as “like new” or “gently used,” depending on a holistic assessment of the bike’s condition.
Both classifications of our CPO bikes have been fully quality-checked for safety (i.e. grips, brakes, steering limiter, tires, saddle, kickstand, and wheels) and adjusted accordingly. Parts are replaced as needed to ensure a safe riding experience for your child. Each bike may come with its own quirks—think blemishes to the paint—but is nonetheless ready for the road.
Chipped Paint
Chipped paint or minor gouges on the bike frame are typical on CPO bikes. Excessive chipped paint will likely result in the bike being rated as “gently used” whereas no chipped paint or minor instances may result in the bike being deemed “like new.”
Scratches and Blemishes
Minor cosmetic abrasions, such as scuffs or small scrapes on the frame, are commonplace among CPO woom bikes. Rest assured, each bike is assessed by our team of professionals to guarantee no structural damage to the frame.
Worn Components
Obvious visual wear and tear on the componentry is to be expected on CPO bikes. However, after a thorough inspection, any parts that are not roadworthy are replaced. Example: flat tubes, balding tires, fully worn brake pads, etc.
Recycled Packaging
Expect all bikes rated “Gently Used” to come in a used box. Although the packaging may have some miles on it; we will ensure the bike is adequately protected in transit.
All Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) bikes are final sale. While each CPO bike is non-returnable, our qualified Customer Service team is ready to assist with any questions or concerns post-purchase.
SRAM and microSHIFT Model Differences
As of the Fall of 2022 in the US, woom has transitioned from SRAM to microSHIFT components, just on our woom 4 bikes.
Supply chain issues brought about by the coronavirus pandemic have resulted in limited bicycle component availability on a global scale. As a result, in 2022, we decided to switch to a suitable alternative for the future production of our woom 4 bikes.
The microSHIFT groupset has a few minor differences from the respective SRAM components. While the previous SRAM groupset featured 8-speed gearing, the microSHIFT features 7-speed gearing. The overall gear range remains the same (both feature 11-28 teeth cassettes).
With one less cog in the cassette, the microSHIFT groupset is lighter than the previous SRAM equivalent. The microSHIFT shifter also features crisper shifting, less chain travel, and offers more ground clearance than its SRAM predecessor.
Whether you own an existing woom 4 with SRAM components or a newer woom 4 with microSHIFT components, rest assured that woom experts have carefully considered its functionality and compatibility with your child’s bicycle.
