FAQ
You can kit out the woom GO 1 PLUS balance bike with the following accessories:
- VIENNA Bell and BING Bell
- LEGGIE Kickstand (size S)
You'll find all of these items and lots of other compatible accessories in our online shop.
If you need to replace any parts due to wear and tear, you'll find a wide selection of original parts in our spare parts shop, including grips, brake pads and much more.
When ordering accessories or spare parts, make sure you pick the correct size.
There are threaded holes on the underside of the top tube and at the rear of the fork where the steering limiter can be attached. You'll also find three threaded holes near the bottom bracket on the underside of the frame where you can mount the SURFBOARD Footrest. The two threaded holes on the underside of the chain stays are designed for the LEGGIE Kickstand.
Our specially developed steering limiter helps your child to ride in a straight line and prevents crashes that are commonly caused by children overturning the handlebars. The stretchy rubber ring creates gentle, flexible resistance. In the event that your child crashes, the handlebars will lie flat on the ground rather than staying upright. This helps to reduce injuries. You may find that the rubber ring breaks in this scenario, but that's an integral part of its design.
If it does break, it has done its job properly. You can easily order a new one from our online shop.
The rear brake lever and brake pads on our balance bikes (woom GO 1 and woom GO 1 PLUS) are green. This color code system helps your child to identify which brake they are using. It also prevents any mix-ups between the front and rear brake on models with both brakes. The green brake lever on the right-hand side of the bars controls the rear wheel. The black lever on the left stops the front wheel.
Make sure you clean your child's balance bike regularly to keep it in good condition. You should also check the screws, tire pressure and brakes on a regular basis. If you notice that any parts are damaged or worn, have them repaired or replaced by a professional. You can also check that your child's woom GO is in proper working order and safe for your child to ride by asking a professional to inspect the bike at regular intervals. You can find further instructions for maintenance on individual balance bike components and check the recommended maintenance schedule in the instructions for use for the woom GO.
We have a number of useful bike fit and maintenance videos on our website that guide you through the process of adjusting your child's woom bike and handling simple maintenance tasks yourself.
We recommend that you run through a quick safety check before every ride to make sure that everything is working as it should be. Just remember...
screws, brakes, air!
1. Are all the screws done up tightly?
2. Are the brakes working perfectly?
3. Are the tires well pumped up? Is there any sign of damage to the rubber?
You should also make sure that your child is wearing a bike helmet that fits them properly.
You can find further safety information in the instructions for use for your child's woom GO 1 PLUS.
This is a GoPro mount. Adventurous riders can attach a GoPro camera to their bike so they can capture all the action going on behind them during their rides. Your GoPro camera should have come with the adapter you need to attach it to the mount. You don't need to buy any special equipment separately. If you can't find the adapter, you can buy a new one online or from a specialist shop.
