A child's bike helmet needs to fit properly and feel comfortable. And that means it needs to be carefully designed to match the exact shape of kids' heads as they grow. We studied thousands of scans of children's heads when we were designing our READY Kids' Helmet. That's how we ended up with a helmet that fits and protects perfectly at every stage of a child's development. Without slipping, wobbling, pinching or digging in. But with plenty of smart details to keep your child safe and make it easy for them to put their own helmet on and take it off again.
You need to measure the circumference of your child's head to figure out which helmet size to buy. Holding a tape measure against your child's forehead, about 1 cm above their eyebrows and ears, measure all the way around their head. Check the positioning of the tape measure at the back of their head to ensure you're measuring the widest part.
Check your measurement against our sizes. If the circumference of your child's head is 48 cm, you'll need to go for XS (46–50 cm) and so on.
If the helmet is too tight when your child puts it on, start by turning the size-adjustment dial to loosen off the adjustment system on the inside. Make sure the helmet is sitting level and covering your child's head properly. The front edge of the helmet should sit around 1 cm above your child's eyebrows. Turn the size-adjustment dial to tighten the ring on the inside until you're happy that the helmet is sitting nice and snugly. It shouldn't wobble when your child gently shakes their head. Finish off by fastening the chin strap clasp. Speaking of which... When first putting on the helmet, ensure the chin strap sits comfortably against the throat, checking that it's not too loose.

Very nice helmet, fits great. Our son was very happy with his new helmet and wanted to go straight away with his new helmet and balance bike. The workmanship looks great and it is very easy to adjust the size. We would also buy the helmet for our daughter. Definitive recommendation.
Our daughter has a woom helmet in size small. It is very easy to use, and our daughter is able to do it all herself, including clipping the helmet thanks to the smart magnetic clips. Unfortunately, the padding inside the bike helmet constantly falls off. It seems that the small “velcro” pieces inside the helmet do not bite properly on the padding. As a result, we have lost the padding and our daughter is now unable to use the helmet as the “velcro” pieces inside the helmet tear at her hair because the padding is now missing. If it wasn't for the issue with the upholstery, I would have given 5 stars. Definitely the best bike helmet we've ever had.

My two-year-old daughter has had the xs for half a year now and soon we will have to switch to the s (which I already have at home). She loves her “Elm” so much that she doesn't want to change trains In short: we're super happy with the helmet! It is comfortable and safe and beautiful too
The helmet, including optional light, is great, unfortunately you lose the cushions, which are attached to the helmet with Velcro, quite quickly, which would not be expected given the price and you have already listened/read more often. Unfortunately, we have now also lost one. Otherwise great helmet!

After the original Woom helmet in S had become too small for my son, I needed a Woom again, of course. This time the new generation in size M. Even when unpacked, the helmet looked huge. As expected, the helmet is much too big. You can make it tighter, but its height is much too big. He sits over his ears and the ear straps are almost hanging from his neck. Suitable for children with very large heads and adults Not suitable for normal or small heads. It's a shame, but we sent him back.
Hi Julia, Thanks for your feedback! It's a pity that the new READY helmet in size M didn't fit your son perfectly — that can of course be disappointing. The READY children's helmet is slightly larger than many other models, as it also covers the back of the head and thus provides additional protection. The outer shell is also deliberately made a bit thicker to provide more safety, comfort and space for growth spurts. Thanks to the new, oval adjustment system, the helmet can be adjusted to different head shapes — this sometimes makes it look a bit higher, but sits securely and stably. Super helmet
We have a lot of fun playing and learning how to drive.
The helmet itself is great but the removable padding on the front and back inner straps is hard to keep in place once they come off for the first time, a 2yr old eventually lost them as they dont stick to the straps properly. It may be slightly uncomfortable without them unfortunately.
Eve, thank you for your review and I am sorry to hear the padding was lost. We do find that to get the padding to securely stay in place it needs to pressed firmly into the Velcro. Someone from our CX team will be in touch shortly to help get some replacement helmet pads sent your way.
Finally a bicycle helmet that fits my child correctly. Others sat loosely and this bike helmet from Woom fits perfectly
