What's in the box?

Our woom bikes don't come with any additional accessories. You need to add optional extras like kickstands and mudguards on our equipment page.

If your child plans on cycling on public roads and streets, their bike may need to meet certain standard requirements before it can be considered legal in your country of residence. In many countries, bikes must be equipped with a bike bell, front and rear lights, and wide-angle Z reflectors. As rules for cyclists and their equipment vary from country to country, find out about the regulations applicable to riding a woom bike in road traffic in your country or region, particularly regarding the use of lights, reflectors and other obligatory safety equipment.

Features & Highlights

Superlight frame

The superlight aluminum frame has capable off-road geometry with a long wheelbase and slack steering angle for improved stability and smooth, responsive handling. Extra confidence comes from the kink in the top tube, which makes it easy to dismount quickly in any situation.

Durable carbon fork

Superlight and super stylish – the carbon fork balances maximum stability with minimum weight. Multidirectional carbon fibers ensure plenty of torsional strength when steering and braking. That makes the bike strong and stable even on the roughest terrain.

Ergonomic contact points

The age-appropriate MTB saddle and ergonomically profiled handlebar grips add comfort, while the hard-wearing platform pedals with metal pins provide the necessary grip for all-terrain riding.

Precise shifting

The precise and intuitive SRAM X5 rear derailleur has nine gears and a wide gear range thanks to the 28-tooth chainring up front and an 11–36 cassette at the rear. The easy-to-operate trigger shifter operates smoothly and reliably to make light work for riders' thumbs.

Reliable disc brakes

Easy-to-modulate disc brakes are teamed with child-specific, reach-adjustable brake levers to provide reliable stopping power and control in every situation including steep slopes and wet conditions.

Grippy tubeless-ready MTB tires

High-quality Schwalbe mountain bike tires combine low rolling resistance with superior grip and proven durability. With Tubeless Easy technology and tubeless-ready rims, it’s a straightforward transition to go tubeless and benefit from added comfort and grip.

Lightweight flip-flop stem

Specially developed from forged aluminum, the stem pairs the ultimate stiffness with the lowest possible weight. Thanks to its flip-flop design, there’s the option to raise the height of the bars simply by inverting it.

A lot of cycling fun and high quality!

Both kids learned to ride a bike on Woom 3, then it became Woom 4 and now both have Woom Off 5. The bikes are stylish, light, easy to ride, of high quality and work both to school, on longer trips and on fun forest trails! Also, Woom has a very high secondary value! :)

Best Bikes around price quality ! Great Customer service! They hold their value like a Jeep Wrangler, can’t ask for more! One small issue, kick stand made in China, screws little below the expected quality but not a major concern! They look beautiful and well made!

The geometry of the bike is great, very light. Drivetrain crisp and precise, just SRAM. As the others have already judged, the brakes are complete rubbish. Brake calipers are leaking, causing permanent grease on the discs and pads. I am now completely switching to alternative manufacturers.

Reply fromwoom

Hi Gregor Thanks for your honest feedback! We're happy that you like the geometry, weight and gearshift — that's exactly how it should be. But it's a shame that you had such problems with the brakes. Leaking brake calipers and oily pads are definitely not okay and should not happen like this. It is best to contact our customer service directly — preferably via the contact form on the website. There, please select “Warranty and Defect.” This will send your message directly to our technicians and together we will definitely find a solution — we will of course be happy to assist you in the event of such deficiencies. Best regards Your woom team

Awful Experience with Brakes

The bike is nice and light and I like the air fork for tuning, but the hydraulic disc brakes leak and are underpowered and rapidly glaze so they are noisy. We’ve replaced pads and rotors and taken it to professional shops twice but the noise comes back so fast my son refuses to brake and won’t ride it. Compared to the other Woom bikes with rim brakes, the amount of fuss and expense of professional bleeding and rotor/pad replacement for hydraulic disc brakes are a terrible choice for a kids bike.

low quality brakes, proprietary crank

Background -- bikes are my life, I've had many, and my kids started on balance bikes at age 3 or 4. I can fix anything on a bike, including building new wheels. We loved the Woom Original line of bikes. The Off bikes are not all that. The brakes are crap. Front brake had no power after 18 months, needed a bleed. The bleed kit costs more than the cheapest Shimano hydraulic brake (which works quite well). The rear brake started leaking at the caliper after 22 months, soaking the rotor, so zero stopping power. This bike only gets ridden 5 hours/month in summer, should need zero brake maintenance. The crank is a proprietary design, looks like you can't replace chainring. Derailleur hanger gets in way of inserting rear thru axle. Rear wheel was built wrong, a spoke is bent around a spoke head at the hub (assembly error; see right side of pic). Too many problems for what this cost.

Anticipating it will be good

Just commenting on the other review. I t does not come with a bottle cage but the down tube has screws so you can add one if you want. No hydration options on a mountain bike? No chance.

Fastest

The bike is very smooth ride and very fast with little effort. Best feature of the bike is that chicks dig it. The bike is missing the option to carry a water bottle.
