We bought this bike for my very novice rider wife. 60-something, 5’2”, 120# , wanted no throttle, nothing too fast but still a good size bike. Only recommendation is we’d like to have an option package for a taller handlebar, chopped fenders, and a rear tray. This company is targeted to kids and understandably these things not so important but shorter frame adult people, especially older but still active are looking for this kind of bike style. Not a step through city cruiser, upright sitting type. And it came with a kickstand!!!

I searched for a way for my kids to be able to keep up with my wife and I on their mountain bikes. E-bikes were the solution but there are few options for kids mtn e-bikes. I landed on the Woom bikes. They are pretty good quality as they should be for the hefty price tag. We ordered a 5 & 6 for our kids and they had damage from shipping to the frames and rims and 3 flat tires out of the box. The kids rode them every day for a couple of weeks and were able to keep up on all trails with the adults. It has now been a couple of months and a couple hundred miles and here is what i have experienced. The batteries inside the battery case wobble and seem like a future problem. I also hate the fact that there is no external charge port. You have to completely remove the battery and put it on a charger (it's annoying and difficult for a child to do.) The battery latch is also not great. I am also disappointed that these are not full suspension with a dropper seat, nor a mode switch on the handlebar. At close to $4k for the Woom 6, you can almost get a mainstream brand full suspension ebike for an adult, with name brand components. In the last week, we have now experienced an issue with the battery/ motor on the 5 with being selective of when it wants to work. If we pull out the battery out and put it back in a few times, it will work, but the future is uncertain. I feel there is much room for improvement for the big price tag. They are great for kids WHEN they work.
This is continuation of my other review as I reached the limit. I'm a 4'9 80lb female adult. As to riding, I feel great on the green trails. I'm a beginner, but at least I don't feel the bike is heavy. When I used green level, I feel I was riding naturally without feeling zooming from the power. When using higher PAS levels, I did feel somewhat jerky when start pedaling, but I use green most of the times. Uphill is a breeze. Sometimes I wondered if I was using power as I just didn't feel it. But when I turned off the powder, I definitely felt the power helped. I'm glad that I was able to find this bike. I also want to mention that I tried Mondraker F Play 26 from another manufacture (kid ebike), which has full suspension. The geometry actually fits me better, but power is only 40 Nm vs UP 6 is 55 Nm. Another issue is the support is lacking and they sold out this year. I like Woom support better. I wish I can have a side by side comparison. So far I'm happy with my decision of buying UP 6.
I'm a 4'9 80lb female adult. I had hard time finding an e-mountain bike for me. I tried XS adult e-mountain bikes such as trek Powerfly FS 4 and Liv Embolden E+ 2. I rode them OK on the pavement. But they felt heavy for me as they both weigh about 55lb. I don't feel confident on single track trails as I don't feel I can hold them in the emergency situations. My husband found this bike for me. At the beginning, I was hoping to get a full suspension. But since I have limited choices, I decided to give it a try. Dennis from customer service was great. The 30-day money back guarantee allows me to also try 24' UP 5. I felt UP 6 is more stable for me. UP 5 felt too small, except I like its standover height and seat position better I wish the manufacture lower the standover height just 1", it would make me feel more comfortable. There is room to do that from the bike frame, esp they advertise UP 6 is for height from 4'7. The frame location also caused the lowest seat position is too high. I had to remove the reflector from the seat post to lower the saddle a bit. I also feel the reach is a little long. I changed to a different saddle and move the seat position forward. I also wish they add rear fork. Minor issues: the spoke protector is flimsy. It fell off the first time I tried riding. My husband used some strings to tie them together. The Fuzua android app is not really working properly. I gave up after 3 tries. I just use Strava.
I'm a smaller adult. (5'4" and 125lbs.) I don't have full lung capacity so keeping up with friends on the trails was next to impossible. Now it's not a problem and I get to have more fun because I'm not dying on the uphills. I would highly recommend this bike for kids or smaller adults. I have had it for more than 30 days and I'm happy with the bike . It arrived quickly. It was easy to put together and get operational. I upgraded the bars, grips and pedals because they were too small, but those parts would be great for a kid. The front forks work fine and are easy to adjust. I prefer the 26" wheel to 27 or 29ers. It's hard to find a good bike w/ 26" wheels, but this is it. I haven't regretted this purchase once!
My Daughter is eight years old but is tall for her age and just fit the woom up 6. We have had the bike for a week now and every morning she wakes up and wants to ride! We did two basic mountain bike rides and they both ended with big smiles she was very happy with the help on getting up the hills. One thing I really noticed was going up the hills through sections of roots she was easily able to power up them and keep her speed going and actually pull away from me on the lowest power mode. On her woom 5 Off she would have had to stop and push her bike up the hill mostly because she has not built the strength to power up a hill like that unless it is perfectly smooth. Today we completed a 25 mile ride on the C&O canal outside of the DC metro area it’s flat but the Fazua Motor made it easy for her to maintain 12 miles an hour. The motor does not do all of the work, the child definitely has to put in some effort to get help from the motor. I am a lifelong biker and I’ve owned bikes from many different manufacturers and I can easily say that womb bikes are built extremely well. This is the sixth woom bike that I have bought and I will definitely keep on buying them for my younger twins. Thanks Woom team keep it up!Adam
