It's been some ride

Founded in 2013 in a Vienna garage by Marcus Ihlenfeld and Christian Bezdeka – both dads and both mad about bikes – woom has now blossomed into an international company. We are represented in over 30 countries, including Austria, Germany, and Switzerland as well as the Scandinavian countries, Spain, France, Italy and even further afield. woom also has a presence in the USA and China.

Our company's story began with the decision of two bike-mad dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, to develop a bike for their kids that would perfectly fit the proportions and riding behaviour of children.

DIY Designer Dads

After Christian struggled to find enough statistical data online about the anatomy of children, he developed his own size tables to perfectly adapt the bikes to the needs and proportions of young riders.

Even before founding woom, Marcus taught some 200 children how to ride a bike on the street right in front of the garage, allowing them to experience their own magical moment.

Dynamic Growth

In the years since our company was first founded, we've gradually evolved to become one of Europe's most popular and successful kid's bike manufacturers. Today we are present in over 30 countries worldwide. woom is a market leader in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in particular while the brand also has a strong presence in the USA.
