FAQ
The woom GO 4 is a superlight all-round bike designed for children who want to have fun while riding and perfecting their skills. It's ideal for everyday riding on tarmac and occasional outdoor adventures that might cover gravel paths and woodland tracks. The woom GO 4 also unlocks longer routes because it comes with seven gears.
The woom GO is not suitable for MTB trails or bike parks. Please refer to the instructions for use for further information on this.
You can kit out the woom GO 4 with the following accessories:
- VIENNA Bell and BING Bell
- PICKUP Rack (compatible with or without mudguards)
- SNAP Click-on Mudguards (pick the relevant size for your child's bike)
- LEGGIE Kickstand (size M)
- GLUG Stainless Steel Bottle (compatible with or without mudguards)
You'll find all of these items and lots of other compatible accessories in our online shop.
If you need to replace any parts due to wear and tear, you'll find a wide selection of original parts in our spare parts shop, including grips, brake pads, tires and much more.
When ordering accessories or spare parts, make sure you pick the correct size.
On the bottom and top of the downtube there are two pairs of threaded holes so that you can install the side-clip mount for the GLUG Stainless Steel Bottle on your preferred side. The two threaded holes on the underside of the chain stays are designed for the LEGGIE Kickstand. To install the SNAP Click-On Mudguards, there are mounts on the underside of the fork crown and on the seat stays/seat tube area as well as on the axle nuts. In addition, there are a total of four threaded holes on the seat stays for mounting the PICKUP Rack: two near the seat tube and two near the rear wheel hub.
The ABC markings on the handlebars and seatpost make it easier for you to precisely adjust the woom GO 4 so the bike can grow with your child.
It's super simple. Move the saddle up or down so that your child can touch both feet to the floor and pedal comfortably. Match the handlebar marking to the seatpost. That's it – your child is good to go!
It's easy to stop the rubbing noise if it occurs.
On a new bike, the brake cable is still pretty tight. It will stretch by itself after applying the brakes a few times. If the brakes are too tight, you can easily loosen the tension by turning the adjustment barrel on the brake lever. This will open up the brakes. If only one brake pad is rubbing, you can adjust the spring tension on the brake caliper. In this video, our mechanic Tim explains exactly what you need to do to adjust the brakes correctly.
The left pedals on our bikes have a left-hand thread and therefore have to be screwed in an anti-clockwise direction.
Make sure you clean your child's bike regularly to keep it in good condition. You should also check the screws, tire pressure and brakes on a regular basis. If you notice that any parts are damaged or worn, have them repaired or replaced by a professional. You can also check that your child's woom GO is in proper working order and safe for your child to ride by asking a professional to inspect the bike at regular intervals. You can find further instructions for maintenance on individual bike components and check the recommended maintenance schedule in the instructions for use for the woom GO.
We have a number of useful bike fit and maintenance videos on our website that guide you through the process of adjusting your child's woom bike and handling simple maintenance tasks yourself.
We recommend that you run through a quick safety check before every ride to make sure that everything is working as it should be. Just remember...
screws, brakes, air!
1. Are all the screws and quick-releases done up tightly?
2. Are the brakes working perfectly?
3. Are the tires well pumped up? Is there any sign of damage to the rubber?
You should also make sure that your child is wearing a bike helmet that fits them properly.
You can find further safety information in the instructions for use for your child's woom GO 4.
This is a GoPro mount. Adventurous riders can attach a GoPro camera to their bike so they can capture all the action going on behind them during their rides. Your GoPro camera should have come with the adapter you need to attach it to the mount. You don't need to buy any special equipment separately. If you can't find the adapter, you can buy a new one online or from a specialist shop.
Gears can be a bit complex. If you don't have much experience of bike repairs and maintenance, we would recommend that you ask a specialist to sort out any gear problems.
If you have some experience of bike mechanics, you can have a go at resolving the issues you are having with the gears yourself. The instructions for use for your child's woom GO explains how the gears work and how to readjust the derailleur if the gears on your child's bike are being noisy or if your child's bike is struggling to change gear.
