The woom OFF AIR is a children's mountain bike specially developed for cross-country mountain biking and off-road cycling. Its design allows you to enjoy being in nature and away from the traffic. Please refer to the instruction manual for more information on its usage.

Please note that the compatibility for dropper seatposts exclusively applies to woom OFF and woom OFF AIR models from model years 2023 onward, in size 5 (24″) and size 6 (26″). The size 4 (20″) woom OFF and woom OFF AIR is not equipped for a dropper seatpost with internal cable routing.

When selecting a dropper seatpost model for your size 5 or size 6 woom OFF or woom OFF AIR, you will need to double-check the seatpost's width and total length so that the model can fit into your seat tube. These measurements are important:

Size 5: The dropper seatpost must measure 27.2 mm in diameter with a maximum insertion length of 220 mm. Note that the minimum insertion requirement is 60 mm. Always account for the maximum saddle height as well.

Size 6: The dropper seatpost must measure 27.2 mm in diameter with a maximum insertion length of 270 mm. Note that the minimum insertion requirement is 60 mm. Always account for the maximum saddle height as well.

If you have any doubts about the process or consider yourself inexperienced when it comes to servicing and installing components onto bikes, we would recommend that a professional bike mechanic carries out such work. For safety reasons, installing a dropper seatpost is best done a trained specialist.

To install a dropper seatpost onto a woom OFF or woom OFF AIR in sizes 5 or 6, here's what you need to do:

1. Open the quick-release lever on your woom OFF or woom OFF AIR. Fully remove the saddle and seatpost. Take the saddle off and put it to one side. To do so, you'll need to loosen the bolts from the clamp.

2. Position the dropper seatpost's remote lever in the desired position on the handlebars. Make sure that you place the lever in a position that your child can easily reach and that won't require them to lift their hands off the handlebars to use it.

3. Measure the required length of the cable housing or the Bowden cable so that you can cut it to the correct length. To do so, you'll need to begin from the back (i.e., the seatpost clamp), feeding the cable housing down the seat tube, along the underside of the downtube and up to the place on the handlebars where the lever is now sitting. Now you'll know how long the cable housing needs to be. Cut it accordingly.

4. Thread the cable housing into the purpose-made routing hole in the seat tube, feeding it upwards until a small length comes out above the seatpost clamp.

5. Fill a cable end cap with some grease and put it on the end of the cable housing that's poking out of the top of the seat tube. This will make sure that your cable housing is now watertight.

6. Now thread the inner cable into the open end of the cable housing until it reaches the end.

7. Now thread the prepared cable (inner cable and housing) into the dropper actuator – this varies from model to model, so make sure you consult your instructions.

8. Apply some suitable grease to the outside of the dropper seatpost before installing it into your seat tube. This will prevent damage to the tube and stop water getting in.

9. As you're putting the dropper seatpost into your seat tube, keep pulling on the cable housing so that it doesn't get caught up inside the seat tube.

10. Slide the cable into the hole on your handlebar-mounted lever and attach the cable using the supplied fixing (check the manual provided with your dropper seatpost). Keep tension on the cable as you do so.

11. Cut the cable with wire cutters, leaving an extra one or two centimeters after the clamp. Put an end cap onto the cable to stop it from fraying.

12. Now you're ready to install your original woom saddle onto your new dropper seatpost. Use the bolts provided and follow the instructions in your manual.

Please note that you must have a woom OFF or woom OFF AIR from model years 2023 onward in order to set up tubeless tires. These models are the only woom models that currently come with tubeless-compatible rims and tires.

To go tubeless, you'll need a standard tubeless kit of your choice, including sealant, tubeless rim tape and two tubeless Presta valves. Please note that the rims on the woom OFF and woom OFF AIR have a width of 25 mm. The rim tape should be between 25 mm and 30 mm in width. The valves should be tubeless-ready and no shorter than 40 mm. Manufacturers such as Schwalbe provide tubeless kits that include all of these parts.

Here's what you need to do:

1. Let the air out of the tube for your front wheel, remove the wheel, take the original tire off and remove the tube.

2. Stick rim tape around the entire rim bed. Start around 10 cm before the valve hole and make sure you overlap this area twice. You can also double layer the rim tape all the way around for added airtightness.

3. Put your valve in. To do this, feed the valve through the rim tape from the inside of the wheel. Add the lock nut and sealing rubber onto your valve and tighten from the outside.

4. Now it's time to add your tires. Begin by placing one sidewall of the tire onto the rim bed all the way around the wheel. Now fit the second sidewall. If possible, use your fingers for this part. Avoid tire levers due to the risk of damaging the rim, the tire bead, or where the tire presses against the rim.

5. Once your whole tire is sitting well on the rim, you will want to pump it up. The audible pop you will hear is the sound of the tire bead sealing onto the rim.

6. Moving onto sealant, here you have two options: You can pour the sealant into the tire before you insert the second side of the tire. Alternatively, you can insert the sealant into your tire through the valve using a sealant syringe after pumping it up. To remove the valve, you will need a special valve key.

7. Repeat the process for your rear wheel.

8. Once both wheels are done and remounted onto the bike, your child should have a ride on their woom OFF or woom OFF AIR to check the tire pressure and ensure the sealant is well distributed.

In 2023, we launched an updated version of our woom OFF and woom OFF AIR models. These next-generation models have a few technical differences to the previous models from 2019 onward. It's also worth noting that the woom OFF and woom OFF AIR models from 2023 onward come in two colors: black and the new terra coppa.

Here's an overview of the technical differences:

Our models from 2023 onward have revised ergonomics when it comes to contact points, like the improved saddle, handlebars and grips. These components are even more age-appropriate and able to boost comfort. There's also a new hard-wearing plastic chainstay protector to prevent the chain from chipping at the frame when the going is rough.

The newer models (2023 onward) also come with tubeless-ready rims and tires. What's more, size 5 (24″) and size 6 (26″) in both models can be retrofitted with a dropper seatpost.

And we've increased the size of the disk brake rotors on the woom OFF and woom OFF AIR in sizes 5 and 6 up to 160 mm, front and back. This provides an even better braking performance while requiring less force from the child on challenging terrain.

Riders of the woom OFF AIR 5 and woom OFF AIR 6 can also upgrade to a SunRace 11–40t 9-speed cassette, which has more modest differences between the sprockets (meaning a smoother progression) and is therefore even better suited for off-road adventures.

Staying safe while mountain biking requires good, reliable brakes. For those who don't have much experience of bike repairs and maintenance, we recommend asking a specialist to sort out any potential issues with your brakes.

If you have some experience of bike mechanics, you'll be able to resolve minor issues with the brakes yourself. In this video, we explain how to replace the brake pads, adjust the brake caliper and set up the brake levers correctly for your child.

The woom OFF AIR comes with a preset air pressure. In this video we explain how to adjust the air pressure to get the best performance for your child based on their weight, what you can do to tune the compression and rebound, and what the lockout function is all about.

Gears are extremely complex. For those who do not have much experience of bike repairs and maintenance, we recommend asking a specialist to sort out any shifting issues.

To return your woom OFF AIR, here's what you need to do:

1. Complete this form to register your return with our customer service team.

2. Pack the bike in its original packaging according to the packing instructions which you can find on the back of the return slip. Put the return slip in the box before you seal it.

3. Our customer service team will supply you with a pre-paid return shipping label via e-mail. Place this on the outside of the package. You can then drop off the package at your local GLS ParcelShop without having to worry about paying any shipping costs.

4. Please e-mail the tracking number on the proof of postage to [email protected] so we can track your returned product.

5. After receiving and checking your package, we will refund the full amount via the original payment method you used when purchasing.
