This is a wonderful bike. My child is 9 now but has been able to ride the 3 plus miles to our local childrens museum using neighborhood streets and bikeways on her own bike for years now. Most grown up can't or won't do that. Due to the dynamo lights and cargo capacity we ride year round to. school, art class, to the park. Anyone who wants their kid to be a confident bike rider who can go anywhere should get this bike. Transportation cycling is now completely normal for my kid. She barely ever rides in cars and it's great! The bummer is she doesn't like riding for fun, but will ride anywhere to get to a place. So yes, I asked if she wanted a different bike and she said this one was fine so we got the next size up. And will probably do the same again if it is still available. Theat one will probably take her into adulthood. I have many bikes but not one this nice. Get this bike!
