What's in the box?

Our woom bikes don't come with any additional accessories. You need to add optional extras like kickstands and mudguards on our equipment page.

If your child plans on cycling on public roads and streets, their bike may need to meet certain standard requirements before it can be considered legal in your country of residence. In many countries, bikes must be equipped with a bike bell, front and rear lights, and wide-angle Z reflectors. As rules for cyclists and their equipment vary from country to country, find out about the regulations applicable to riding a woom bike in road traffic in your country or region, particularly regarding the use of lights, reflectors and other obligatory safety equipment.

Features & highlights

All components that have been specifically designed with safety in mind bear the KIDSAFE PLUS seal.

Innovative frame

The superlight aluminum frame is the heart of the bike, ensuring a fun and safe riding experience. Thanks to its cleverly designed age-specific geometry, this superlight bike makes learning to ride super fun!

Child-specific hand brakes

Your child will immediately be able to spot the all-important rear brake – it's bright green! This color code system prevents them from mixing up the brakes, making for a safer ride. Our specially designed brake lever is easy to pull with small hands and requires little strength to bring the bike to a safe halt. This, along with the ergonomic grips, makes braking child's play.

Please note: All bikes delivered in the UK will have the UK standard with the green rear brake lever on the left.

Knee-friendly stem

Our stem ensures a safe and lightweight connection between the handlebars and the headset. The sleek, rounded design, integrated handlebar clamp and recessed clamp bolts make it truly knee-friendly.

Flexible steering limiter

Our specially developed steering limiter is a vital safety feature. It prevents the handlebars from overturning, which reduces the risk of accidents.

Cranks with a narrow Q-factor

The crank length and distance between the pedals have been ergonomically adapted to fit children's bodies. This results in an optimum stance and natural movements. Pedaling? A piece of cake!

Compact chainguard

The closed chainguard not only has an eye-catching stylish design but also boasts a compact and sturdy construction, providing your child with effective protection against injuries and dirt. Goodbye oil stains!

Ergonomically formed saddle

The saddle is one of the most important points of contact between the child and the bike. It significantly affects the feeling when riding. That's why our saddle is designed to be a perfect fit for the pelvis of children in this age group and optimized for an upright riding position. Perfect for getting the most out of their ride!

Please note that as we work with various suppliers, the actual saddle on your woom bike may vary slightly from the images shown.

Practical quick-release seatpost clamp

The quick-release seatpost clamp offers a simple, quick and tool-free way to adjust the saddle height. It's even easy enough to be operated by children. On your pedals, get set, go!

All-round capable tires

Tires have a major influence on how a bike handles. That's why we've chosen tires that can be used for a broad variety of terrain for our bikes. Whether your child is riding on tarmac, gravel or dirt, our lightweight tires will ensure maximum grip in any weather and on any surface, whether in a straight line or cornering.

Smartly engineered wheels

A bike needs really good wheels to get rolling. So that's exactly what we've given our bikes. What makes a woom wheel so unique is the sum of its parts: from the smooth-rolling hubs to the high-quality stainless steel spokes and our exclusive SOOPA DOOPA HOOPS rims.

My 2 year old learned how to ride a pedal bike with woom!

The woom 2 helped my son learn how to ride a pedal bike before he turned 3! We've since upgraded him to the woom 3 & plan to continue with the woom brand because they're simply the best!

My 2 year old learned how to ride a pedal bike with woom!

It's just the best kids bike that I've ever come across! My son learned how to ride a pedal bike before he was 3 with his woom 2 & now we've upgraded to a woom 3. We'll continue to be customers & I recommend them to all of my friends!

Why get any other bike?

This bike is a perfect design for kids. It’s comfortable and intuitive for them. No confusing coaster breaks and an ergonomic design that positions them comfortably and confidently. My 3 year old went from a no-pedal strider bike to this in a couple practice sessions. Can’t recommend this bike highly enough.

This should be plug and play..

Putting together the Woom 3 for my daughter and have spent 45mins tinkering with breaks that keep rubbing. This should have been tested, set and sent out ready to go with handle bars and pedals the only pieces to complete. Not a good sign for a bike made for a 4-6 year old learning to ride. This should have been easier..

Not worth it

There are things I really about this bike - it’s lightweight and easy to learn to ride and my son loves the yellow color. But we’ve had it for a little over two years and have had to take it into a shop to be fixed at least 4 times. And even when it is rideable, it makes clicking noises that make it seem like it’s going to fall apart at any moment. I’m annoyed I spent so much money on this bike. My son is ready for a bigger bike, and we’re buying a different brand.

Great first pedal bike

I bought this bike for my just turned 4 yr old because of the light weight frame. It worked out perfectly well as I thought. My son was riding a balance bike before and he was able to transition to this bike seamlessly. I did not have to put in much effort for him to pedal and he just took off on this bike after a few tries. I cannot emphasize how much the light weight frame is the differentiating factor as I have looked at other bikes which are so much heavy relative to the child's weight.

Light, easy to assemble, a definite winner!

This is our 2nd woom bike but first ordered new. We had no hesitation knowing how much our son enjoyed his woom 2 and the confidence he gained riding it. The woom 3 arrived quickly and I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of assembly. It handles nicely and our son is getting the hang of hand brakes. We are looking for forward to many adventures with this bike!

Problems

We received the Woom and was super excited for our 3 year old to ride it during the holiday weekend. The bike came and no instruction manual, tools or pedals were included. Called they instructed me to go to a bike shop and they would reimburse. I didn’t feel we should be inconvenienced for a $400 bike. They sent items next day after contacting costumer service. Next issue after the first ride….deflated front and rear wheel. We put air in the tire and it did not fix the problem. My son once again could not ride the bike. Contacted consumer service…again they recommended to go to a bike shop to get it fixed. They stated this is a common problem with bikes. Our family all have bikes and we’ve never experienced deflated tires on arrival. Disappointed thus far. A kit for me to fix the bike was sent. Expected so much more from this company.

A great first bike

I think I should preface this by saying that my son (5) had never really used a bike or balance bike before using this Woom 3. On the first day, we left the pedals off, put the seat all the way down and let him use it like a balance bike. He was already getting hang of it, so on the second day, we brought him to a parking lot and let him try it. He literally got it on the first try. No wipeouts or anything. It really helped to have a parking lot with a gradual downward slope for him to get momentum. The bike is made really well and the best thing about it is that it is so light. I was debating between this and Guarding, but the weight difference made me choose Woom. So glad I did and so glad my son’s first experience with a bike was a fun one!

Best Bike Hands Down for 3-4 year olds

We did a ton of research and nothing compares to this bike. The build quality, ergonomics and m multiple safety features are second to none. We have had this bike for two years have had so many great memories. Our son went from a balance bike and on the first try was able to stay up on this bike and has not had a single crash in 2 years. Work every dollar!

Best bike on the market for kids 3-5 years old

This was out son's first bike and he used it for two years. The Woom 3 is the gold standard for kids first bikes.. So many safety features that make you feel good as a parent. We can't recommend this enough.

Excellent Bike

We selected the Woom bike based on the weight of the bike and reviews that highlighted the quality. Both of our twin boys learned how to bike on the Woom 3 bike, without using training wheels. The light weight was important our kids could easily handle the bike by themselves. If your kid will be really into biking, it might be good to consider the bike with gears. If you are going slightly downhill on a bike path the Woom 3 with no gear is very light.

Expensive dissappointment

The bike did not live up to the hype of ease of bike riding. The quality is very low and study after putting together. I found myself having to constantly tighten. Reached out to customer service a few times and this didn’t lessen the issue of consistent adjustment. Final straw was have the wires pop out near the peddles and no way to fix them. Customer service was no help when their “fix” did work. We can’t use a bike that scratches at 6yo. It doesn’t hold up. Not worth the money

Spoke not attached at the hub!

At first we thought it was loose spokes, but it turns out that grandson's brand new Woom 3 had a spoke that wasn't attached at the hub. How in the world does Quality Control let a major fault like this get out of the factory???
