Let's hear from our happy customers:

Balance bikes are best – leave out the stabilizers
Balance bikes are a fun way for your child to pick up the core skills they need to ride a bike – balance and coordination. Stabilizers have the opposite effect. Instead of learning to balance, your child will develop bad habits that they'll struggle to unlearn later down the line. Balance bikes are the best way to learn to ride.

Maximum protection for small heads
Our READY Kids' Helmet is made for children's heads. It fits perfectly and feels comfortable. No pinching or pressure whatsoever. It protects the forehead, temples and back of the head too. And it has plenty of reflective details for added visibility. Who knew safety could feel so comfy?

Does your child need a balance bike with 12″ or 14″ wheels?
The woom GO 1 with 12″ wheels is suitable for children who are at least 82 cm tall (roughly 18 months old). The woom GO 1 PLUS with 14″ wheels comes with a pre-fitted footrest and is designed for children who don't show an interest in riding a balance bike until they're a little older (or who love riding their balance bike so much that they're not quite ready for the transition to pedals). The height range starts at 95 cm (roughly 3 years old). Whichever balance bike you go for, you'll be giving your child a safe, intuitive and fun introduction to adventures on two wheels.

Balance bike FAQs
The journey can begin from as early as 9 months with a playful introductory self-balancing bike like the woom WOW! Toddlers are then often ready for the woom GO 1 from 18 months. Meanwhile, the woom GO 1 PLUS is designed for kids typically aged 3 and over.
Every child develops at a different rate, but a playful introduction to balance bikes is now possible from as early as 9 months thanks to the arrival of the woom WOW
If your toddler is starting to move, even in a wobbly way, they are showing signs of being ready to start their balance bike journey!
Our products are backed by scientific and medical experts. In this interview with Dr. med. univ. Katja Schmidhofer, she discusses early development and the role woom can play.
For the littlest riders (under 3), it’s not essential as they intuitively use their feet. For older, more adventurous children (over 3), a hand brake is a great tool for learning new skills and keeping them safe.
A balance bike teaches the essential skill of balance first, which makes the transition to a pedal bike feel natural and easy. Training wheels can often create bad learning habits which disrupt development and slow progress.
A well-fitting helmet is the most important piece of safety gear and helps protect your little adventurer as they explore. That’s exactly why we made the woom READY Kids’ Helmet.
A lightweight bike is much easier for a small child to handle, steer, and pick up on their own. Did you know, woom bikes weigh as much as 40% less than standard children’s bikes? This means adults can also comfortably carry the bike for their child.
Most children enjoy their balance bike for one to three years before they feel ready to transition to a pedal bike, which they'll often do with surprising ease!
