Kids' heads need proper protection – and our helmet is the perfect fit.

A child's bike helmet needs to fit properly and feel comfortable. And that means it needs to be carefully designed to match the exact shape of kids' heads as they grow. We studied thousands of scans of children's heads when we were designing our READY Kids' Helmet. That's how we ended up with a helmet that fits and protects perfectly at every stage of a child's development. Without slipping, wobbling, pinching or digging in. But with plenty of smart details to keep your child safe and make it easy for them to put their own helmet on and take it off again.

Match the total centimetres to our size guide. For example, a 48cm head circumference matches with size XS (46–50cm).

We matched each of the three sizes of our READY Kids' Helmet to the exact shape and proportions of children's growing heads. That's how we designed a helmet that fits perfectly at every age. We also took care not to put pressure on sensitive areas like the big soft spot at the front of a young child's head. No wonder the helmet is so comfortable! Your child will feel ready for adventure as soon as they put it on their head.

Low helmet shell

So many children's helmets only protect the top of the head. The READY Kids' Helmet goes much further, with the ultra-low shell protecting the forehead, temples and back of the head too. So you can rest assured that your child's head is protected all round.

The flexible visor is an innovative feature that acts as a sun and rain shield, while providing protection for your child's face if they fall off their bike. You can count on the helmet to absorb the impact thanks to its energy-absorbing material and special structure.

Non-slip size-adjustment dial

The adjustment system on the inside of the helmet takes the form of a padded ring that goes all the way around your child's head. Simply turn the robust, non-slip size-adjustment dial to tighten up or loosen off the ring. The helmet will fit your child to perfection in a twist of the wrist.

Large ventilation holes

We don't want your child's head to sweat when they're out on their bike, skateboard or scooter, so we gave our helmet huge ventilation holes and internal air channels. This way, your child can always keep a cool head – even on their most epic active adventures.

Reflective features

The READY Kids' Helmet has plenty of reflective features – the logo on each side, the two straps and the detailing on the size-adjustment dial. So you can rest assured that your child will be visible at all times – even in the dark and in foggy conditions. Practical magnetic clasp

The magnetic clasp on the chin strap is so easy to open and close that your child will manage without any problems. Even if they're only using one hand and wearing gloves. The clasp is also zero-pinch, so your child's skin and hair are safe too. Drama gone, helmet on.

Soft and comfy padding

The pads inside the READY Kids' Helmet are made of a soft, absorbent material that doesn't have scratchy edges or awkward seams. Pair the padding with the perfect fit and your child has a helmet that feels oh-so comfortable on their head. Just take the pads out when you need to wash them and pop them back in when they're dry (we recommend washing them by hand and leaving them to air dry).

Hello Alana, Thank you for sharing your feedback. It’s very common for the woom READY Helmet to look or feel a bit large at first glance. Unlike standard helmets, the READY Helmet extends lower to fully cover and protect the back of the head. The shell is intentionally thicker and larger to allow room for growth spurts and provide a comfortable, secure fit. The easiest way to ensure it fits is the ''shake test.'' Place the helmet level on her head (not tilted back or forward), about an inch above her eyebrows. Turn the size-adjustment dial on the back until the internal ring is snug around her head. Then unbuckle the chin strap and ask her to gently shake her head. If the helmet stays in place without sliding, it fits perfectly. Good fit

I like the fit of the helm, especially that it is very easy to get right with only minor and simple adjustments. The reflective elements are also very nice. However, I do not really like the new buckle compared to the preceding helmet model. I find that the new buckle design is more sensitive to any grit that finds it way into the mechanism and it may look as if the buckle is locked in place even when it is not. It seems that some grit is slightly magnetic and so it tends to stick where you want it the least. On the other hand, when all is functioning properly it is very nice.

A very good, very safe helmet. My little girl fell with it and hit her head completely. The helmet is broken and has thus protected her from serious head injuries (facial injuries). I can more than recommend this helmet.
