Kids take the wheel: woom launches its first-ever Kids Advisory Board

Vienna, 23/01/2026: What happens when kids actually run the show? woom is finding out. The globally celebrated kids' and teens bike brand from Austria is launching its first-ever Kids Advisory Board – bringing together curious, confident kids from different age groups and backgrounds to help shape the brand from the inside out. Its stories. Its ideas. Its future. This is "made with kids, for kids" at its purest.
Kids at the center – always
woom's mission has never wavered: make millions of kids around the world fall in love with cycling. The way to get there? By putting kids' needs at the center – not as an afterthought, but as the starting point.
It's exactly what woom founders Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld did when they re-imagined the concept of a kids' bike from the ground up – lightweight, ergonomic, safer and truly made for children. Since day one, the brand has relied on feedback from young riders to continuously improve its woom bikes, equipment and accessories. But now woom is taking it further. Kids won't just shape the product, but the brand too.
Giving kids a voice
The Kids Advisory Board at woom will bring a diverse mix of young voices to the table. As board members, they'll act as creative consultants, offering unfiltered perspectives on freedom, growing up, and a childhood on two wheels. Their input will be documented on social media, whether it's going head-to-head with woom's CEO in a Q&A session or honest, unscripted bike tests.
"It's not about staging a campaign," says the team leading the project. "It's about genuinely tapping into their world." "We want to listen to kids, understand their thoughts and excitement, and tell the story of woom through their perspective in a way that gets them even more excited."
The Advisory Board is a long-term commitment, not a one-off campaign.
Who can participate?
woom is looking for kids and teens aged 5 to 14 that are comfortable on camera, fluent in English, and curious about the world. Vienna-based families – or those happy and willing to visit regularly – are encouraged to apply. A mix of voices matters: different backgrounds, different stories, and different ways of seeing the world are what will make this board powerful.
Apply now
The deadline for interested families to apply is 4 February 2026. Send an application via email to Lena Wagner at woom's partner agency woomers@thewurstagency.com
About woom
woom is an international manufacturer of bikes for children and teenagers with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The company was founded in 2013 by two bike-loving dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, in a garage in Vienna. After searching the market in vain for suitable bikes for their own children, they decided to develop and build their own. With their light weight, timeless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes set new standards for premium children's bikes. In just a few years, woom went from a little-known brand to the market leader in Austria. Since then, woom has made a name for itself around the world. In more than 40 countries – including the USA, the Middle East and China – you'll now find kids and teens riding woom bikes.
