  • Growth against the grain: woom grows around seven times faster than the industry average
  • New milestone: woom has sold over two million bikes since the brand was born
  • Power of innovation: woom successfully launched the woom WOW self-balancing bike and developed its e-bike business

Vienna, 23/02/2026: woom ends 2025 with the best result in the brand's history. In the face of challenging market conditions, woom is growing at a much faster pace than the industry average, continuing to gain market share, and consolidating its position as the world's leading provider of premium bikes for children and teenagers.

woom recorded turnover of around EUR 149 million in the 2025 financial year, selling 390,000 bikes and 140,000 bike helmets. These figures reveal that the business is outpacing the market by some considerable margin. This dynamic success has been moving quickly, with turnover hitting the EUR 100 million mark by July – three months ahead of the previous year. By September 2025, the company had already matched the total turnover achieved in the whole of 2024. Despite the volatile conditions, woom has continued to gain market share and demonstrate the strength of its strategic direction.

Strong brand with a focus on impact and innovation
"2025 was an exceptional year for woom, and that's all down to our innovative products and highly motivated team," says CEO Bernd Hake. "We've sparked a joy of riding in more children than ever before. This level of dynamic growth despite the challenging market conditions is the result of our team demonstrating unwavering commitment and families all around the world putting their trust in us. We're helping children enjoy their first-ever moments on two wheels with innovations like the woom WOW. We're so proud of what we've achieved so far and yet we're fully focused on the future and our mission to keep redefining mobility for the next generation."

International expansion and innovation
While Germany, Austria and Switzerland continue to provide a strong foundation with a growth rate of +41%, the business is growing even more dynamically further afield. The results from Northern Europe (+101%) and the UK (+120%) are significant, supported by a solid performance in the Benelux region (+17%).

This success is driven by the consistently fast pace of innovation. New developments have been an instant success, including the woom GO bike range, the READY Kids' Helmet and the woom EXPLORE e standard e-bike.

woom ventured into a new product category when it launched the woom WOW, a self-balancing bike for toddlers aged 9 months and up, in October 2025. And the impact has been immediate, with over 15,000 kids experiencing their first-ever moments on two wheels on the woom WOW in a matter of months. With woom also expanding into new sales channels alongside traditional bike retailers, this new model is available in over 80 specialist baby shops and in big-name department stores like Steffl in Vienna and KaDeWe in Berlin.

Innovation and global growth on the agenda for 2026
For woom, 2026 is set to be a year of strategic growth and groundbreaking innovation. While consolidating its market-leading position in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and building on growth in the UK, the Benelux region and Northern Europe, woom also has a new leadership team in place to strategically target the US market.

In terms of products, the next chapter in the brand's innovation story is being written in 2026. The strategy centers around new product launches, with a focus on children's e-mobility, and an extended range of accessories.
woom is continuing to diversity its offer with a view to supporting families at every stage of childhood, from toddlers taking their first steps to 14-year-olds exploring the world. The key here is solutions that are carefully engineered to meet specific needs, while opening up new areas with good growth potential.

About woom
woom is an international manufacturer of bikes for children and teenagers with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The company was founded in 2013 by two bike-loving dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, in a garage in Vienna. After searching the market in vain for suitable bikes for their own children, they decided to develop and build their own. With their light weight, timeless design, high-quality components and child-specific geometry, woom bikes set new standards for premium children's bikes. In just a few years, woom went from a little-known brand to the market leader in Austria. Since then, woom has made a name for itself around the world. In more than 40 countries – including the USA, the Middle East and China – you'll now find kids and teens riding woom bikes.
