We bought this for Christmas but just now got around to putting some miles on it. This is the most I have paid for a kids bike and first time purchasing a brand new bike. As a bike savy individual and one who likes to tinker with bikes I am pretty disappointed. Pros: integrated dyno powered lightsintegrated twist bellfront rack is coolfendershydro disc brakes(IMO not necessary, but glad they are not mechanical discs)Cons:out of the box really hard to shift, ours has a Microshift twist shifter and a rear derailleurthe position of the front rack interferes with the front brake cable and has pinched it, seems to still be working but will need to be replaced.Pedal fell out and we found that the crank arm has stripped! Will need to get a replacement.The handlebar height is really high, even higher than the original. This puts more weight on the butt and makes longer rides uncomfortable. (you would need to swap the stem and handlebars, to fix this.)no rear rack includedOverall my son hates it and is mad that I bought him this bike for Christmas. We will probably be getting something else that he is more comfortable on. Good idea but poor execution and low quality components.
